BRASS TACKS

The Brass-Tacks Dining Table was the studio's first commission. The table is designed to fit within the clients' beautiful home in the historic Indian Village neighborhood of Detroit. It is a solid black walnut table with a brass-wrapped apron.  The subtle oblong shape and the rounded edges on nearly every surface make the table comfortable on a daily basis and adds a casual edge to the otherwise serious materials. The brass apron is unfinished, allowing for the natural patina to develop through use and furthering the unique, one-off vision of the table. The legs are tapered, rounded to match the top's corner profile, and sculpted out of solid 12/4 walnut.
